Privacy Policy

Account data. When you create an account we store your email address, an optional display name, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Usage history. If you use our writing and analysis tools while signed in, we save a history of those actions (for example rewrites and AI-signal analyses) so you can revisit them from your dashboard.

Authorship Vault. If you use the Authorship Vault, we store the projects, notes, and files you choose to save there, including files uploaded to secure cloud storage.

Basic analytics. We record anonymous page-view counts using a randomly generated visitor identifier to understand overall usage. This is not linked to your account and is not used to track you across other websites.

Files you run through our Inspect and Clean tools (Provenance Inspector, Metadata Inspector, Document Sanitizer, and Image Cleaner) are processed entirely in-memory to perform the requested operation and are then discarded. We do not save, log, or retain the contents of those files. The only files we retain are the ones you deliberately save to the Authorship Vault.

We process your data to provide and secure the service (performance of a contract), to prevent abuse and fraud (legitimate interests), and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

AI processing. Text you submit to our writing, analysis, and disclosure tools is sent to a third-party large-language-model provider solely to generate your result. It is not used to train models on your behalf and is not retained by us beyond any history you choose to keep.

Passwords are hashed with a strong, salted algorithm. Traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Access to your account data and stored files requires authentication, and files in cloud storage are private by default and served only through short-lived, signed links. We apply security headers, rate limiting, and input validation to defend against common attacks.

We use a single, strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in during your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because our cookie is essential to operate the service, it does not require consent, but you can clear it at any time by signing out or through your browser settings.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We make the two most important of these available instantly and self-service:

• Right to data portability — download a complete copy of your data as a portable file.
• Right to erasure — permanently delete your account and all associated data, including stored files.

You can exercise both from your Privacy & Data Center.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data, saved history, Authorship Vault records, and stored files are permanently removed. Anonymous, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be retained.

For any privacy question or request that you cannot complete through the Privacy & Data Center, please reach out through the platform. We aim to respond to all valid requests within 30 days, as required by the GDPR.
